Our Background and Development
The Islamiyah Series was established in 2014 with a clear and compelling vision: to nurture Islam, Iman, and Ihsan in the hearts of children, building a strong and confident Islamic identity for the next generation.
In its early stages, the series focused on the foundational elements of Islam and Iman, covering essential subjects like Fiqh (jurisprudence), Akhlaq (character), Aqaaid (creed), and Seerah (prophetic biography).
As the series evolved, we recognized that the third dimension of faith—Ihsan (Excellence)—required a different approach. It could not be taught through textbooks alone; it needed to be experienced and had to have a reflective approach. This realisation marked the beginning of our third stage: the journey towards Ihsan. From this, a new initiative was born:

What is MJE?
My Journey to Excellence (MJE) is a spiritual and character-development framework designed to nurture a child’s personal relationship with Allah Most High.
It began as an initiative to cultivate love, awareness, and connection to Allah—rooted in both knowledge and practice. Over time, MJE has evolved to meet the spiritual, emotional, and moral needs of our students, guiding them on the path to becoming children of excellence.
Understanding Ihsan (The Essence of Excellence)
Ihsan means to live with conscious awareness (istihdār) of Allah—knowing that He sees us, hears us, and is with us at every moment.
When this awareness settles in the heart, two beautiful transformations occur:
- Every action is performed with the utmost care and beauty (Ihsan).
- Every action is done sincerely for the pleasure of Allah (Ikhlas).
This is the essence of excellence. Ihsan transforms ordinary actions into acts of worship through the presence of heart and the purity of intention.
The Purpose of MJE
The purpose of My Journey to Excellence (MJE) is to connect children’s hearts to Allah so that they grow up:
- Remembering Allah in every aspect of their lives.
- Performing every action with excellence (Iḥsān).
- Turning to Allah in all their needs, both small and great (du‘ā).
The Goal of MJE
The ultimate goal of MJE is for children to live for the pleasure of Allah Most High by following the Sunnah and the blessed lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
When this goal is achieved, everyday habits transform into acts of worship:
- When a child recites the Qur’an, they feel as though Allah is speaking to them.
- When they perform salah, they feel they are standing before Allah.
- In study, play, family life, and worship, they carry the consciousness of Allah—turning every moment into an act of excellence.
Our Vision for Every Child
Through MJE, we aim for every child to:
- Keep Allah in their hearts daily.
- Ask Allah for everything, big or small.
- Grow into children of excellence.
- Develop Ihsan as a lived reality, not just a concept.
